an exciting event where fashion meets sustainability! Witness 12 designers will showcase their innovative creations that reimagine the future of fashion. From upcycled materials to eco-friendly patterns, each collection will inspire you to rethink your relationship with your wardrobe consumption.
The cozy experience is presenting their first ever collection entitled ,Wasted Potential which is meant to invoke conversation around the loss of color in current day designs
Prompt Journaling
What 💡 The third installment in a monthly series of prompt/Junk journaling sessions at Dabble CRC. This program intends to provide a space to gather, discuss ideas, build community, and let creativity flow.
Each month the prompt is led by a different local artist who will share their work and present a meaningful topic to encourage thought and discussion.
Chewy Lu, the creative behind @thecozyexperience, who focuses on sustainable and accessible creativity, will be presenting the prompt: wasted fabric.

Lucid Dreaming meets Sleepy Time Bear for this first iteration of a 5 sensory exhibit
Mindful Drinking fest will be taking place in multiple venues with several Activations around NE DC
This installation will only be in the AutoShop for the duration of the Event please check the schedule to see where the location for each event you hope to attend when making your Itinerary
Several private events including AR meditaition (yes Augmented reality meditation) and private tasting events will happen in the space as well and during those events the general admission folks will have to wait to see the exhibit.

RE-FASHION SHOW
On Saturday, April 20, 2024, The Trash to Treasure Movement, a sustainable shopping and creative reuse advocacy resource, will be presenting a sustainable fashion show that will highlight the work of creative reuse fashion designers for 2024 Earth Day weekend. All proceeds of the event will benefit UpCycle Creative Reuse Center and their mission to inspire all people to explore and create by engaging our community in art-making experiences with reuse materials.
The event will take place at The Garden ALX (5380 Eisenhower Ave Suite C, Alexandria, VA 22304).
Attendees are encouraged to dress in their favorite secondhand and sustainable outfits and a select number of attendees will be invited to walk the runway.

Finger crochet, knit, or weave with us using yarn made from diverted textile waste to create a permanent wall hanging for fillagreen's store.
(No prior experience needed we can teach you )
Fillagreen’s new Storefront in Manassas Virginia is looking to build community and fill some of the empty space on their walls.
I will teach finger crochet techniques tips and tricks for upcycling clothing into art. The parts and pieces made during the open community workshop will be connected to create one cohesive hanging piece inspired by a sunset at the beach to be displayed in their store for years.
